You’ve likely heard about the recent rise in respiratory illnesses. Let’s use this opportunity to connect current events to our understanding of human anatomy. For your initial post choose one region of the respiratory tract. Classify it as part of the conducting zone or the respiratory zone. Describe the key cells and tissues found in that region. What roles do they play in maintaining healthy respiratory function? Give an example of a respiratory infection or disorder that affects the region you selected. Ask your peers to explain how that condition disrupts normal respiratory function in that area.
