NOTE- You will only write ONE final paper for the two classes in this LC.

INSTRUCTIONS:

· Choose ONE social problem (THE SAME TOPIC FOR EACH SECTION OF THE LC.)

· NOTE- YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR TOPIC IF YOU ARE NOT SATISFIED WITH THE ONE YOU ALREADY CHOSE FOR THE ANT SECTION OF THE LC.

· You will first discuss the causes and consequences of your chosen social problem from a U.S. perspective.

· Then, compare how the U.S. response to your social problem differs from, or is like, that of the E.U.

The paper must be:

Length: 9–10-page paper (11-12 pages for Honors students)

  Number of sources:

· Minimum of 8 sources

· Four government sources (two for U.S. and two for E.U.)

· For the U.S.- laws, regulations, court decisions, initiatives (state or federal level)

· For the E.U.- treaties, charters, laws, regulations (country or E.U. level)

· Two established media sources (newspapers, magazines)

· OPTIONAL- social media
