Research three guiding companies that offer trips to the summit of Mt. Everest. Find out the answers to these questions for each of the companies:

o What awards or special honors do any of these companies have?

o What are three things on their waver forms that you would have to sign off on?

o What are at least five pieces of equipment you are required to bring on your climb?

o How many guides or Sherpas will the company provide? What is the client:guide ratio?

o Three things you can expect from this company are:

o What three physical training recommendations does the company have before you make the flight to Kathmandu?

o How much is the cost?

o How much is the deposit and how far in advance must you pay it?

o What is the company’s refund policy?

o Find examples of appeals to logos, ethos, and pathos
