Research paper

All of the assignments in the course were a build up to this phase, so I hope this process was beneficial to you. Your assignment for this week is to include your final 8–10 page prospectus ( not including your title, reference and appendix pages ).

Please find below information your prospectus should include: 

Title Page

· Include the title of your research (i.e. research question)

Background or Introduction

· The background/introduction gives broad information about your topics. 

Literature Review

· The literature review provides information about previous research that has been conducted related to your study. 

· You should include the reason or rationale for your study for example, why is your study needed, how does it fill a gap etc. 

Methods

· Information about your population (i.e. AA women, JSU students, patients etc.)

· Include any demographic information as well (i.e. geographic location, gender, age etc. - you are providing detailed information about your study population. 

· Include information about your research design - you may also want to include your reason for selecting this type of design. 

· Include information about your data collection tool - you may want to include steps to developing your tool. (i.e. a ten-question survey etc.)

Expected Outcomes

· You will  not collect actual data however, for this section you are to detail what your expected outcomes will be as if you were collecting actual data. This section seeks to answer your research question.  

Conclusion

Reference

· Make sure that your references are cited according to APA (guide is included in Module 0 under student resources)

Appendix

· You will include a copy of your data collection tool
