Topic – Third Party Cloud Applications (Third Party Cloud Applications that  are used by enterprise and consumers of the enterprise through the  enterprise) 

During  the Residency weekend, a Research Paper will be assigned and is due by  the end of the Residency weekend.  The research paper will be written  using the APA style with at least 15 references, but no more than 25  references (10 of which must be peer-reviewed) and contain at least 15  pages. The page count does not include the title page or the  reference pages. I recommend you research the APA style and bring your  laptop to the Residency weekend to do your research and complete the  Research paper.

Students  will be assigned to a group to conduct the Research.  The group will  work together to find research materials and develop the research paper  and presentation.  

Possible  topics will be presented at the 1st class session of the residency and  teams will begin research immediately to ensure papers can be completed  before the end of the Residency weekend.  During the last class session,  each group will make an oral presentation, with appropriate visual  aids, of their research. Powerpoint presentation will consist of 12-15  slides. APA style will be enforced for the slides. 

For  your paper, you will imagine that you are a team of AppSec consultants  and your firm has been hired by my organization, you will be assessing  the needs for an AppSec solution to solve my problem with a lack of  AppSec within my organization enterprise applications. The organization  wants a solution that deals with OWASP 2017 Top Ten Risks and OWASP 2019  API Top Ten Risks as they have issues with both categories. 

You will:

• Identify a targeted business problem that can be supported by an AppSec solution.
• Write an AppSec solutions document that uses AppSec methodologies to solve the problem.
• Provide an overview of an AppSec solution you propose to implement based on a problem of your choosing.
• Your  audience for this presentation will be senior executives for the  company who will decide whether to sponsor and support the project.
