1. Pick ONE piece we have looked at this semester and do a detailed analysis of it in terms of the author’s background, life experiences, and culture. For example, how does the author’s culture/background influence his or her writing of the piece? What elements of the author’s culture does he or she want to integrate into the rest of the world?
