Original Paper   Topic "Abuse of the Elderly in Nursing Homes"

You will select a major social welfare policy to analyze. 

The Research Paper must address and discuss the values relevant to  the topic and the University value that best informs an understanding of the analysis.   

 In addition to the analysis of the social welfare policy, you will select a particular piece of proposed legislation that is currently  under consideration in the Florida Legislature that is connected with the policy. 

You will need to locate a particular legislative  issue and follow it on the Internet throughout the course of the term. 

You will need to discuss the legislation and its relevance to  the policy, analyze and identify: 

Who is sponsoring the proposed legislation?

The committee responsible for examining it ?

Who serves on the committee? 

The staff member who works for the legislator sponsoring the proposed legislation.
