The research problem statement chosen for this discussion is: Can screen time affect children in negative ways causing problems with growth and development? Children spend many hours utilizing televisions, computers, electronic games, and phones and spend less time playing and using their imaginations. A crucial period for attentional development is during childhood which is being disrupted by increasing use of screen time (Santos, Mendes, Marques, & Romano-Silvia, 2022).
The Hypothesis for the problem statement includes providing alternate means of education for children. Introducing research articles to parents and teachers to heighten their awareness of the potential negative influence of screen time on children and their development. Mental health professionals are expressing their concerns for children possibly becoming addicted to screens (Westby, 2021). Unfavorable body composition, higher cardiometabolic risk, unfavorable behavioral conduct, low fitness, low self-esteem, and lack of sleep are related to increased screen times in children (Guerrero, Barnes, Chaput, & Tremblay, 2019).
Ethical considerations include mental health workers who are treating older children and adolescents. Technology has a negative impact on mental health and an increase in depression. There are concerns with the use of technology and sexual exploitation, along with access to illicit substances and internet addiction. Mental health workers have an ethical responsibility to engage in education and be advocates for teens. They must also be sensitive to clinical ethical issues including confidentiality (Sussman, & Dejong,2018).
A positive change in nursing practice as leaders and clinicians is to provide education and research for parents on the negative impacts of children and lengthy screen times. Implementing education into practice will promote a positive change in the mental and physical development of children.

Research Problem Statement
Specifically, the research problem statement for this project is as follows: "What are the factors that influence parental decision-making regarding childhood immunizations, and how can healthcare providers improve immunization rates through education and communication?"
Childhood immunizations protect against diseases that can be fatal if left untreated. Despite the availability of safe and effective vaccines, many children still do not receive the recommended doses. Possible causes include healthcare accessibility, healthcare provider communication and education, and parental vaccination knowledge and attitudes (Gray & Grove, 2020). The primary objective of this study is to find a way to educate and communicate to raise the vaccination rate among youngsters. This research aims to identify the factors that parents consider when making vaccination decisions and to identify ways in which healthcare providers may use communication and education to increase vaccination rates.
Study Variables
The study variables for this research problem statement include parental knowledge and attitudes towards immunizations, healthcare provider communication and education, and immunization rates.
Hypothesis
The hypothesis for this study is that improved communication and education from healthcare providers will lead to increased parental knowledge and positive attitudes toward immunizations, resulting in higher immunization rates among children.
The primary hypothesis of this research is that vaccination rates for children will rise if healthcare providers are better equipped to educate and communicate with parents. The premise is that parents may better understand and trust vaccines if there is open dialogue and information sharing about the topic (Gray & Grove, 2020). Providers may help parents make informed decisions about their children's health and well-being by correcting common misunderstandings and providing accurate information. According to the hypothesis, well-informed parents with positive attitudes toward vaccinations are more likely to give the recommended shots to their children.
Ethical Considerations
In conducting this study, informed consent was obtained from the parents, and their privacy and confidentiality were ensured to be protected. It is also essential to ensure that the study is conducted fairly and unbiasedly, without any coercion or pressure on the parents to participate.
A number of ethical considerations need to be considered in vaccine studies involving children. One of the most important ethical considerations in research is the safety and well-being of the participants. This includes minimizing research-related harm and discomfort, safeguarding participants' privacy, and obtaining informed consent from parents and healthcare providers (Gorard, 2011). In addition to being culturally sensitive, the study must honor the participants' views and values. This necessitates thinking about how parents' religious or cultural beliefs may influence their decision to vaccinate their children. Finally, there should be clear criteria for data collection, analysis, and sharing, and the study should be open and accountable.
Positive Nursing Practice Change
By increasing vaccination rates among children, which can reduce the frequency of vaccine-preventable diseases, addressing this research issue can bring about beneficial change in nursing practice. Healthcare providers can better equip parents to make educated decisions about their children's health if they improve communication and education. Improved treatment quality may also result from increased patient satisfaction and confidence in their healthcare providers (Al-Edresee, 2021). A healthcare provider, for instance, can use the study's results to develop parent-specific educational resources and communication strategies. One way to do this is to explain the benefits of vaccines for both the child's and the community's health, dispel myths about vaccines, and answer frequently asked questions. Healthcare providers have an opportunity to strengthen relationships with parents and increase childhood immunization rates via better communication and education.
