Please  read Chapter 1 and supplemental material related to the Mergers,  Acquisitions, and Other Restructuring Activities and discuss why mergers  and acquisitions occur answer the following question below:

• What are the arguments for and against corporate diversification through acquisition? Which do you support and why?
