My conversation with my professor was brief. We just chatted. So, there are no notes from the conversation.

Ensure that your questions include life coaching and positive psychology principles, and include which option you selected for your curiosity conversation from the options provided in Workshop One.

· Finalize interview questions for the curiosity conversation.
Background Information

3.4 Assignment. General Reflection Journal
Getting Started
In this assignment, you will reflect upon the TED-style talk that you will be creating later in the curriculum. REMEMBER, this is separate from your Capstone Project. Your Capstone Project is a practical implementation of life coaching and/or positive psychology concepts with a small group of people and will be due in PSY 590; The Ted-style talk is a 15 to 20-minute presentation related to your personal journey backed by positive psychology research and will be due in PSY-563. These are two separate projects that you will be working on, refining and implementing or presenting in the final course.
Here’s a quick overview of where you are heading. In this TED-style talk reflection, you will be exploring some themes that you may want to focus on from the previous journal entries you made in the curriculum. These themes will form the basis for an outline and script that you will write for your TED-style talk in the next course (PSY-562). That outline will give you the structure you need to finalize, present, and record your TED-style talk in PSY-563.
Upon successful completion of this assignment, you will be able to:
· Reflect on how to refine your TED-style talk, integrating Life Coaching and Positive Psychology principles.
Background Information
As you prepare to write this reflection journal, it would be helpful for you to review some of the journal entries you wrote in previous courses. Look for themes around your interests, the Hero’s Journey, your chosen specialization (Life Coaching and Positive Psychology ), spiritual growth, etc. You are in the early stage of developing your TED-style talk, so don’t be afraid to put down an idea that you are not yet confident about. You’ll have an opportunity to make changes in the next course as you create an outline and draft of your TED-style talk.
You will add this as a new journal entry to the TED-Style Talk Reflection Journal you began in PSY-520.
Instructions
1. Remember, the TED-style talk is a separate project from the Capstone Project. You will be refining both the TED-style talk and the Capstone Project over the next few courses.
2. Review the rubric to make sure you understand the criteria for earning your grade.
3. Open your ongoing TED-style talk reflection journal that you have saved in a Word document.
4. Title this new journal entry “PSY-561 3.4 TED-Style Talk Reflection <Day, Month Year>.
5. Your task in this session is to reflect on the overarching theme of your talk and begin to draft some initial ideas.
a. Provide a brief title and two or three sentences summarizing the focus of your TED-style talk.
b. In one paragraph, highlight key aspects of your personal journey that you may want to include in your TED-style talk. The most impactful TED talks incorporate powerful personal stories along with relevant research; consider what about your story is unique and aligns with some aspect of positive psychology or coaching that you would like to present in a TED-style talk.
c. In another paragraph, identify positive psychology or life coaching concepts from previous courses or personal research you have done that you would like to be integrated with your personal journey for the TED-style talk.
d. Write a final paragraph about the format that you would like to use for your TED-style talk. Remember, this is a TED STYLE talk, so it can be a multi-media presentation, a podcast, a Youtube presentation, or a more traditional TED talk. Keep in mind that you do need to include your recorded voice in some way as a part of the presentation. In other words, it can't be only a PowerPoint presentation or research paper.
6. When you have completed this assignment, save a copy of your journal and submit your TED-Style Talk Reflection
