requesting for a scholarship

I need to write a letter for a scholarship. 2 paragraph one page. If there is a second page its ok.

I am a retired veteran of 21 years in service. I am now looking to take a trade in the construction business, especially in carpentry. I would love to have the knowledge to start my own construction business.
