Report on Cultural Globalization

Report will use credible sources (i.e.-NOT Wikipedia, blogs, obviously liberal or conservative-biased sources with an ideological agenda, etc.) to compile a report on one of the below aspects of cultural globalization. The report needs to explain your chosen aspect (an overview, its reach, impact, etc.). Then provide an analysis of the pros and cons of your chosen aspect. How has it helped and hurt peoples in different parts of the world? Given the pros and cons, what is your overall assessment of this aspect of cultural globalization? Does the good outweigh the bad in your opinion? Explain.

1. language (the emergence of English as a global language; focus on a particular region/country so you can assess the impact of English on this region/country's culture)
2. Americanization of popular culture (music, movies, television, sports - pick just one of these aspects)
3. branding (McDonaldization, prevalence of American goods and services - pick just one good or service)
