CLASSMATE’S POST
A supervisor I worked with at my previous employer always spoke to me with sarcasm, I effectively maintained good work ethics and was unaware of her reasoning for such behavior. One day, I was working on a task that required my position to be relived in order for me to take a break, I requested a break from my supervisor. She advised me that someone was on their way. An hour later I asked her again and she said that someone was on their way. Finally, 3 hours later I was relieved for my 10-minute break and later found out that I developed a urinary tract infection. The next day I confided in a coworker about what happened to me and the coworker advised me that the supervisor was laughing about how she was purposely hesitant to send anyone to relieve me. This kind of behavior leads to a compromised work environment, trust that is broken leads to a lack of team work, which in turn affects productivity.
