"The Awakening"by Kate Chopin, was about a young lady named Edna who grew up in Kentucky who ended up marrying a man named Mr. Pontellier from the south. Mr. Pontellier saw some things going on with Edna and went to their doctor to talk to him about what he saw that was going on with Edna. During that time frame, there was not a lot of knowledge about mental health, and all of the technology to detect what was going on that we have today. There was so many signs that Edna showed that there was something mentally going on with her, The thing is she would not open up and talk about it with her family. When talking to the doctor she didn't feel that there was anything wrong her, but something was wrong with everyone else. This resulted in her husband leaving her, and eventally she committed suicide.
My essay is about depression in teens. The most important thing is being able to recognize that there is something going on with the person. Being able to see the signs of mental health is very important. Being very supportive to the person is important. When a person is going through these issues, it is very important that they have all of the love support of their family and friends. They need this support so that they can get the medical treatment that they need to overcome the mental issues that they are faced with and begin the healing process before it leads to death like it did with Edna,
