Reflective Essay

This is a creative writing assignment with two objectives: to demonstrate an understanding of the literature you have chosen and to apply this understanding to an element of fiction we have discussed in class: narration, character, plot, setting, theme, style and tone.  You can also include any personal reflections or personal experiences that help you in connecting to the work. Though this is a creative writing assignment, I would like you to still follow the general format of essay writing by including an introduction (with a thesis statement), body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You can choose to write reflective essay #1 on the following texts: 

 The Lives of the Dead, Tim O’Brien (please see attached story)
