Reflect on your genogram and ecomap by writing a interpreting the findings of your genogram and ecomap. What transactional and generational patterns, behaviors, beliefs and norms did you become aware of when analyzing your genogram? How has your family influenced and enriched your adult life? Include:

• Insights, patterns, or family reactions you discovered as you explored interactional patterns, and systems
• Processing personal feelings or responses you experienced in composing your genogram and ecomap

Please note that you are the keeper of your story. If you do not feel comfortable revealing sensitive information, then you do not have to share. (Remember, throughout your social work journey, all families experience some level of dysfunction). Your personal ability to identify patterns and interactions will be a learning experience whether or not all information is enclosed.
