The second reading is an article that I've found that encourages a lot of teachers to think about what they do in practice in the classroom. It always has for me too! Keep in mind the authors really do point out that nothing is 100%, so if you find yourself in what they call "warning sign" territory, you may have a very good reason for being there. They just ask that we all notice when we make these kinds of teacher moves, especially when teaching math, and that we reflect on if these are the right moves at the time.

After reading the article or chapter, make connections between the math concepts and
procedures or ideas covered in the text and what you have observed in teaching. You may
make connections to teaching methods you have observed that were similar or were
