Traneka WilsonWrite a mathematics mini-lesson plan (a 10-15 minute lesson segment) using the topics
covered in the article or chapter. You can use any format for the mini-lesson plan, but you
should include, at a minimum, the appropriate Georgia Math Standard, the learning
objective, a thorough description of the activity/tasks, and an analysis of your mini-
lesson that justifies why you believe the activity or tasks can be used to support
students in learning to think about mathematics deeply.
This book is from Elementary and Middle School Mathematics. Chapter 8, Developing Meanings for the Operations, pages 153-163 from the Teaching Developmentally textbook.
