1) Gayle Rubin states that “several persistent features of thought about sex inhibit the development of [a radical theory of sex]” (275). 5) Name two examples from our readings or lectures of how mainstream US society rewards marriage. Explain how marriage as an institution upholds patriarchy and/or capitalism.

6) Briefly define respectability politics. Name one example from our class readings of women or girls of color resisting respectability politics.

7) Name and explain two reasons why sex workers are fighting for the decriminalization of sex work. Make use of one short direct quote to support your answer.
