1. What is another example of how the beliefs, values, and ideologies surrounding gender can be seen in the material objects we associate with males/masculinity and females/femininity? Explain your answer.
2. Beyond gender, what other examples can you see of cultural ideas, beliefs, and values appearing within the material world?
3. Assume  for a second that the author is correct and that masculine and feminine  clothes reinforce patriarchal ideologies. Do you think that means we  should work to change the clothes men and women wear in public? Why or  why not? Explain your answer.
