Consider Sara Lloyd's description of dating culture (she wrote in 1991 before email, cell phones, or texting) in light of your own experience of  dating behaviors customary in your experience.

FIRST, provide a description of the "dating culture" that is familiar to you, perhaps as if you were trying to explain it to an alien, a fool, or a professor. (about 250 words)

SECOND, analyze this dating culture to determine whether or to what extent it assumes differences of power between the two partners. (about 250 words)

It may be helpful to treat these as two separate tasks since it is helpful to describe your dating without judgment. However, you can combine description and analysis in the journal entry.
