Race and Ethnicity in the Economy

In module three, we explore race and ethnicity in the economy.  Our objectives this week are to:

· Define "income" and "wealth;"

· Recall statistics on income and wealth disparities among whites and people of color;

· Explain why economic racial disparities exist;

· Determine why some immigrant groups might be more likely to achieve economic success than others; and

 

· Examine affirmative action and white welfare.

Please read all the information provided within the module and the indicated course book readings, then proceed to complete and submit this week's assignments in a timely and effective manner.
