Public Safety Leadership Assessment

The fourth part of the course long assignment is an analysis of leadership performance in the current public safety environment in order to compare and contrast effective and ineffective leadership.

For this portfolio entry you will read the assigned class readings, as well as doing your own independent research, and review your own experience.  You may also solicit the input of friends and family. Your finished paper will be 3-4 pages long (not including the cover page or reference page, and attachments) presented in APA (6th edition) format and will become the fourth item in your portfolio.

Your paper should:

• Evaluate the performance of recognized public safety leaders in relation to leadership traits, roles, styles, and situations,
• Appraise current and future leadership trends in public safety
• Compare and contrast effective and ineffective leadership
