Public and Private Police Partnership

Chapter five of the text lists four types of private policing. Select one of the four types of private policing and answer the following questions:

1. What brought about the need for this kind of policing?
2. Does this type of private policing do a better job (for its intended purpose) than what could be done by the public police? If so, how? If not, why?
3. How can the public police and private police form a partnership that would make policing in this area even more effective?
