Hello I have a 2-3 page assignment about        A PTSD diagnosis requires that a person must meet the specified criteria in the DSM-5. For example, he or she must have been exposed to a significant psychological trauma and suffer from some form of re-experiencing the trauma (e.g., nightmares, flashbacks, intrusive thoughts). However, not everyone who is exposed to a psychological trauma will meet the diagnostic criteria for PTSD. Some people may be diagnosed with other trauma-induced psychological disorders, such as Acute Stress Disorder, Adjustment Disorder with Anxiety, or Major Depressive Disorder. Some people may even cope effectively with the trauma on their own, warranting no diagnosis!
