The shows on television/internet portray a variety of jobs that appear to be quite glamorous on one end of spectrum or quite dismal on the other. (Examples…FBI agents, doctors, attorneys, maids, food service workers, factory work etc.) Choose a
particular show and occupation for your activity. Go to The U.S. Department of Labor (https://www.bls.gov/ooh/) and research one of these occupations. What is the average or median salary of this job? In your opinion…Is the job and living circumstances realistically portrayed? Why or Why not? What affect do you think this portrayal has on the society?
