Objective: Explore the intersection of digital forensics and constitutional law with a focus on the implications of law and the collection and analysis of digital evidence.

Instructions:

Part 1 - Reading & Research:

Review the following topics and select ONE topic to write about for this         assignment:

1. The Fourth Amendment -  Explain the key principles of the Fourth Amendment and its relevance and impact on digital forensics.
2. Electronic Communications Privacy Act (ECPA) – Discuss the role relating to digital evidence collection.
3. Pen Register Act - Discuss the role relating to digital evidence collection.
4. Privacy Protection Act (PPA) - Discuss the role relating to digital evidence collection.
5. Principles of Searches & Seizures - Discuss the role relating to digital evidence collection.

Part 2 - Case Study:

Select a recent case involving digital evidence collection. Summarize the case and analyze how the Fourth Amendment and/or related laws were applied.

Submission Requirements:

• MS Word document: Include a title page, APA format, 2 pages in length excluding References and Title pages. Be sure to include an Introduction, with the Body and Conclusion sections. Incorporate Parts 1 and 2 of the Instructions into one WORD document for grading.
