Project Planning

Project managers work with project management plans tailored to each specific project. You will continue using the Project Plan Template to complete project management tasks throughout this course, for the project you chose in Week 1.

Update Your Project Plan

Now that you have submitted your first assignment and gotten feedback from your instructor, make any changes or updates to the project plan you started working on last week. 

1. Project charter.

2. Project scope. Make sure you note what is not in scope for your project.

3. WBS.

Risk Matrix and Communication Matrix

This week, you are learning how to create risk and communications matrices. Create those elements for your selected project, and add them to your Project Plan Template:

1. Risk matrix: Risk management is one of the most important activities of a project manager.

2. Communications matrix: Don't forget the project sponsors in the communication plan. Information is generally tailored to the interests of the audience.

Deliverable

Submit your project plan with the sections above completed. You will add the final sections and finalize your project plan next week.

Additional Requirements

Your assignment should also meet the following requirements:

· Written communication: Ensure written communication is free of errors that detract from the overall message.

· Length: Use the Project Plan Template. 

· Font and font size: Use Times New Roman, 12-point font.

· Submission: Submit your project plan with the sections identified above completed.
