Proposed Project Resources

Scenario

You have been assigned to the project manager of the project that will be covered in the Term Paper - Managing a Cybersecurity Project assignment (due in Week 10). Your superiors are leaning towards using a virtual/remote team for this work or even outsourcing the work to another firm. You have been asked to provide some research on the pros and cons of using virtual teams and outsourcing. You are hoping that your superiors will consider your option of an onsite team.

Instructions

Write a 4-6 page paper in which you:

1. Evaluate the pros and cons of using a virtual team for the proposed project.
2. Evaluate the pros and cons of outsourcing work for the proposed project.
3. Evaluate the pros and cons of maintaining an onsite project for the proposed project.
4. Identify and analyze the major pitfalls and misconceptions inherited in your chosen approach of using an onsite team. Propose key actions that you, as a project manager, could take to mitigate the risks associated with the previously identified misconceptions.
5. Use at least four quality resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia and similar websites do not qualify as quality resources.
