Project paper on National Patient Safety Goals (4-8 pages, not including cover page and references) and a PowerPoint Presentation. Each student will select one of the Joint Commission National Patient Safety Goals.  The paper on the chosen safety goal will include:
•        Research on the topic from at least 3 sources
•        Discussion on how an effective quality management program can have a positive  impact on the safety goal

•        History of the safety issue addressed by the goal  

•        Utilization of the topics learned in class as related to addressing the specific goal. Example: data, quality management system, and monitoring methods, etc.
