There can be up to 18 sections defined in a Project Management Plan (Section 4.2.3 of the PMBOK).

Part 1

·  Describes what needs to be included in the Project Management Plan

·  Discuss how the PMP is used to keep the project within scope, schedule, cost and quality agreements.

·  Include a section on project cost management concepts which includes their terms and their function. Topics discussed must include:

o  Net Present Value Analysis

o  Return on Investment

o  Payback Analysis

o  Balanced scorecard

o  The Weighted Scoring Model 

*Include relevant information such as the inputs/documents needed to complete the section along with a rational of the importance of the section.
