Project Management

The purpose of project management is to increase successful software implementation. The article titled "7 Project Management Types and When to Use Them" provides multiple project management methodologies that maximize the success of projects. An example of a failed project can be found in The Global Backlash Against Facebook’s Digital Currency Project. (3:38).

• Identify an IT system development failure that occurred within the last two years. Do not repeat an example from earlier in the course or one that has been posted by another student.
• Analyze which project management concepts were not respected by the project managers and were these lapses occurred.
• Describe how you might have spoken up had you been on the steering committee.
• Be sure to respond to at least one of your classmates’ posts.
