After planning the script the role-play scenario, how did it feel to walk in the shoes of a social worker? What insights did you gain from the experience? What aspects of this experience were challenging for you? Being able to recognize the areas where you were successful and the areas where you need improvement are what make role-plays an important part of your social work education.
For the written segment of your Final Project, reflect on your experience in developing this role-play video. Consider any insights you gained from the experience, as well as the challenges you might have experienced in its planning and execution. Think about the specific social work techniques you used and why you used them. Finally, review the role play scenario your colleagues posted. Select one of those roles play scenarios and consider any areas in which your colleague might improve their approach and why.
Note: I think that my colleague can improve on her approach by nodding her head to validate what her client was saying.

Amy’s role play Below. feedback.
You did a great job and showing you cared and offering a safe and supportive environment. You maintained eye contact and were showing comfortable and welcoming body language. I also liked that you made the plan very simple and easy to understand for your client.

Engagement Role Play Scenario
Client Judy
Characters:
· Social Worker (SW)
· Judy (Client)
· Son
· Grandson
Setting: An inpatient hospice facility.
SW: Hi Judy, Good afternoon. I'm David, a social worker. Do you feel anything today?
Judy: I've had better days. I suppose that explains my presence.
SW: Judy, thanks for being honest. Whatever you need, I'll help. I saw your son and grandson joining you today. Would you rather they join our discussion?
Judy: No problem. I couldn't have survived without them.
SW: We are here to listen to Judy's care or end-of-life wishes. Everyone's experience thus far?
Son: We all know how hard it was. We wish Mom comfort, although it's difficult to discuss.
SW: Okay. These chats are seldom pleasant, but Judy's wishes need them. Judy, I was wondering whether you wanted to chat about your care or anything else.
Well, dear, I've planned events. I only want to see my son and grandson.
Judy: it's a great start. Discussing your preferences is vital (de Brito Lima, et al., 2021). Why don't we discuss your treatment options and current family needs?
Grandson: My first priority is Grandma's comfort.
SW: Your concern is valid, and we will prioritize Judy's comfort. Discuss ways to spend quality time together. Do you want me to address any specific concerns or questions?
Son: Well, what happens next? How do we navigate all of this?
SW: It's a process, and we're here to guide you every step of the way. We can discuss medical care, emotional support, and even legacy projects that may bring comfort. Let's work together to make this journey as smooth as possible for all of you.
