Option 1:

Write a research paper on the legal and ethical aspects of properly managing and securing a network.

Potential topics / Some examples:

· Necessary security for legal compliance vs cost of properly securing all resources and access

· How secure should a network be to maintain accessibility to necessary assets while excluding unnecessary risk?

· Scope and scale of a network – how much control should one have of a network concerning third party access and equipment?

· Logging of events on a network is common practice. What types of events should be logged? On what devices? To what level of detail?

· What essential advanced network topics should be considered but are not a part of this course due to time and scope constraints?

Paper Criteria

Use the APA reference guide and APA example below:

· APA Reference Guide - PDF Document (633  KB)

· APA example - Word Document (29 KB)

· The report should be Minimum: 10 pages, Maximum: 15 pages.

· Font: New Times Roman, 12 pt

· Full-page illustrations are not counted as a page

Your paper should be formatted like this:

· Page 1: Title page: subject title, your name, my name, course number, and title

· Page 2: Abstract

· Page 3: Table of contents page (This is not an APA requirement; however, it is a course requirement)

· Pages 4 to 19: Body pages

· Last page: Reference page
