PROFILING

Profiling comes in many forms, including identity crimes; behavioral profiling; geographical profiling; criminal profiling; intrusion detection/network profiling; customer profiling; identity fraud profiling; terrorist profiling, drug trafficking profiling, etc.. 

Are there common techniques, procedures and/or methodologies among these diverse disciplines? Compare and contrast a couple of these as you Research these areas. I have found one of the most interesting area is how the customer Marketing folks use profiling to target and sell their products.
