Prewriting and Introductory Paragraphs

 do one of the prewriting exercises (cubing, listing, clustering/mapping, cross-examination) from Ch. 3: You may choose which one. Then do all the questions in the exercise you chose. You will be asked to share what you wrote with the class in some form or another. In a special spot in your notebook, write down and know these definitions: thesis sentence, essay map, lead-in sentences, clustering, attitude, cubing, listing, cross examination, brainstorming, revising, and proofing.
