Have students remember their own practice experiences and outline two practice sessions that they recall (if possible, have them choose one that they felt was very effective and one that was not). What was the organization of the practice? What were the drills or activities? How long did they spend on each activity? What type of feedback did they receive? Now talk about why one practice was more effective than the other and use the content from this chapter to support their response.
