Students will be responsible for preparing an informational power point presentation on an a topic relevant to this course. 

Either format should include a brief description of the issue, a theoretical perspective(s) that you are supporting your information from, local resource information including contact information and suggestions for dealing with the issue for parents, teachers, counselors and/or any other appropriate audiences. 

Examples of topics may include but are not limited to the following: 

Parenting of Pre-term Infants, Developing Healthy Parent Child Attachments, Promoting School Achievement, Fostering Healthy Identity in Teens, Later Care Issues for Aging Parents, The End of Life-Hospice Issues, Nutritional Issues (eating disorders, obesity, etc.), Promoting Language Development, Spectrum Disorders and the Classroom Teacher, Bullying and the Consequences, etc. 

These are merely examples of topics that you may want to consider. 

Your project information should be aligned with some theoretical perspective that would influence how you would present this information to your intended audience.
