Politics and Wars

 

Question 1 – Political Parties? Hamilton’s economic proposals helped start the formation of political parties in America.  Do you think that political parties are good or bad for America?  If so, why or why not? Do you think America needs more than two political parties?  Why or Why not? 

Question 2 - War? Based on why the United States became involved in the War of 1812 and what America got out of the war, was the United States justified in going to war with Great Britain, again? If so, explain why it took so long to go to war with Great Britain and what did America really get out of the war. If not, explain what other measures could have been taken to avoid war. In addition, what circumstances do you think justify America going to war with any nation, then or now?
