Initial Post Instructions
Explain how a liberal and conservative would approach developing the US budget. Use evidence (cite sources) to support your response from assigned readings or online lessons, and at least one outside scholarly source.

If I was a libertarian (Magstadt, 33), I would be an adherent of an extreme form of classical liberalism.  I would share viewpoints on the economy with modern conservatives.  I might read Ayn Rand (Links to an external site.), follow Rand Paul on twitter (Links to an external site.), and support a balanced budget amendment (Links to an external site.).  A balanced budget amendment would require that the government keep a balanced budget.  Would I be right that a balanced budget amendment would be a good idea?  What are the chances that I could have this wish come true?
