  1. In a minimum of 250 words explain the importance of proper risk management and action planning as it relates to events. Use examples from the research that you have conducted independently and resources provided. You have the opportunity to bring your
    experience to the board whether it is from the position of a  participant, volunteer or planner. Your post should be thorough and  well supported with research. Focus on one area of action planning listed above and its importance to event management. (ie. weather, injuries, staging, fire or alcohol liability, crowd control, etc.)

    Keep in mind that insurance and permits are necessary for events. Although they may be topics for planners to consider, your post should focus on planning ahead for challenges that a planning team can encounter while on-site. Use the resources provided to guide you through different scenarios and then explore your own personal research into the topic.
  2. A minimum of three (3) references are required for your initial post and should be cited and referenced in APA format.
