For your final project, you will share a story or message about something you are passionate about in healthcare. You will present your findings using the data visualization skills covered in class. Instructions Part 1—The Story Please observe the following guidelines:

• Determine the purpose, story, or message of this data. • Identify a health care data set from an appropriate source that can be used for your

data visualization. You can retrieve data sets from Tableau or one of the following websites and webpages:

• Data.gov • HealthData.gov: Dataset. • Center for Disease Control and Prevention: Data and Statistics. • World Health Organization: Global Health Observatory Data Repository another

instructor-approved repository. Part 2—The Data Visualization Please observe the following guidelines:

• Prepare the data set for your visualization if you use a data set outside of Tableau. • Create at least four data visualizations using appropriate tools and techniques. • Display your above visualizations in a dashboard. • Use Export Views from Tableau Desktop to Another Application • resource to save your completed dashboard for each module as an image and add it

to your PowerPoint presentation. Important Note: You will turn in your dashboard. Part 3—Informatics Please do the following:

• Design an infographic in Tableau that summarizes the message. • Part 4—The Presentation

Please do the following: • Create an 8 to 10-minute detailed presentation to present to leaders of the

organization you are delivering your message to. • Write a script. • Use the script for reference while you record your video, and it may be used as a

transcript for accessibility purposes.

In your presentation,

• Identify the source of the data set used.

• Assess the purpose of information governance using data.

• Support the need for privacy and security with data analytics.

• Summarize the message or story of the data using the prepared visualizations.

• Defend the tools and techniques used to build data visualization.

• Explain the findings, results, and conclusions and how they can be used in health

care.

• Recommend the use of the prepared infographic.

The Visualization of Health Care Data final project

• must be twelve double-spaced slides in length (not including title and references

slides) and formatted according to APA Style

• must include a separate title slide with the following in title case: o title of project in bold font
