A wide range of topics have been introduced in this unit and Unit I. Select a topic (Deterrence and Incapacitation) from the textbook or the unit lessons that you would like to explore further . Develop an outline in preparation for writing the final project for Unit VII. Your submission should have an APA-style title page and a reference page at the end of the paper. You must include at least three scholarly references as supporting evidence for your thesis statement, one of which must be from the CSU Online Library. 

For the outline, include the following: 

1) a thesis statement, 

2) possible subtopics for focus (at least three main ideas with supporting evidence), 

3) a summary of how the role of public policy within criminal justice relates to your topic, and 

4) the relevance of your three references to your paper. 

Headings and subheadings must be parallel in structure: use complete sentences phrases, or clauses consistently.
