Part I: Literature Review 

In the first part of this assignment, you will complete a mini-literature review of at least three sources from an Online Library. Literature reviews are comprehensive summaries of research topics from scholarly articles, books, journals, or other sources relevant to the particular area of interest. Your literature review should enumerate, describe, summarize, evaluate, and clarify previous research.

Select an article on (school improvement initiatives) that you believe holds the potential to be used as an action research project that could benefit your field or topic of interest. Review the suggestions that describe how to conduct an effective review of literature.

Your literature review should be a minimum of three pages and include the following: 

1) a brief overview of past research, 

2) references related to your problem, 

3) an area of focus statement (e.g., The purpose of this study is to…), and 

4) a minimum of four documented resources including at least one primary resource.

Part II: Instructional Design/Lesson Plan Visual (1 page)

For the second part of this assignment, create a simple visual (e.g., graphic, infographic, flow chart) using Microsoft Word and illustrate your understanding and belief system in terms of the components and flow of effective instructional design or lesson planning, including the connection to assessment. Research the following terms to help you understand the components of instructional design and lesson plans to help you as you create your visual object:

1) lesson plans, 

2) seven-step lesson plan design, 

3) and lesson plan models.

Your literature review should be a minimum of three pages (not including the title or reference pages). Adhere to APA Style when constructing this assignment, including in-text citations and references for all sources that are used. Please note that no abstract is needed.
