Philosophy Final Reflection

By now, you should have read everything in the course.  In 700-1000 words, address the following:

1. The first 8 weeks of the course consisted of readings by standard, traditional, canonical philosophers.  Describe your understanding of philosophy and truth in these readings from the first half of the course (up to and including week 8).  Appeal to *2* of the following readings in your response (by paraphrasing their main ideas, not direct quotes):
   - The Apology
   - The Allegory of the Cave
   - Metaphysics
   - Meditations
   - The Problems of Philosophy
   - Plato's Doctrine of Truth
   
   
2. How relevant or applicable is this standard, traditional understanding of philosophy and truth to your own life?  To non-philosophers?  To society in general?

The last 7 weeks of the course consisted of readings from outside the standard, traditional philosophy canon.  In what sense are these later readings philosophical, or still dealing with truth?  In what sense are they different from the readings from the first 8 weeks?  Appeal to *2* of the following readings in your response (by paraphrasing their main ideas, not direct quotes):
