THEN, choose one of the following options to respond:

1.  Animals have rights and deserve to be treated humanly, which means that the slaughter of all animals should be avoided.

2.  Animals have rights and deserve to be treated humanly,  but they can also be used to sustain human life and, therefore, can be raised or hunted for human consumption.

3.  I am content with the status quo:  people can choose how to behave in regards to animals--eat them, protect them, wear them, kill them for sports, or just let things fall as they may.

4.  Write a statement of your own and support it with your own argument..

Your position must be 

a.  clearly stated from the start.

b.  supported on essential PRINCIPLES learned in class this semester (cite sources whenever an external source or author is used)

c.  written as an "I" paper, that is, your take, feelings, emotions and ideas about it

d.  reasonably argued

e.  with proper in-text citations and references at the end whenever external sources were used to support your position (including materials from the course).

At the end your position is yours only, you are NOT enforcing it on others, just stating your position.
