Persuasive Essay

My essay is pretty much complete but after instructor feedback I need to enhance it a bit more and be more specific (see attached document) I need a different title and the following remarks were made:  

There's a lot of good here, in that you discuss ideas presented by Ferguson quite well. Here's the issue though--you just discuss them. You don't apply or draw a larger point. What lesson are we to learn from history? You seem to suggest there are "lots of lessons," but you really want to set up a series of example throughout history that show one point. 

I might suggest one: you bring up this idea of human indifference. How does the great divergence in Europe show humans' callousness to others?

Then, try to make that point with other examples from history.
