Personnel Management (Singapore)

Choose any existing company of your choice operating in Singapore. The company can be from any industry.

Imagine that you have been appointment as the Human Resource Manager of the chosen Company.

Your boss has asked you to prepare a report recommending job analysis and job design, recruitment and selection strategies that can be adopted by the company to fulfill its staffing needs in view of overall Personnel Management strategies.

Organize a 2,000 words (+/- 10%) report as follow:

 Referencing format via APA Referencing Format. (2,000 Words)

References: Must have at least 10 different source of references and must not be more than 5 years old.

1) Introduction of the chosen company, nature of its business and its general plans in Singapore. - 100 Words (+/- 10%)

Note: To include Reason of Vacant Position.

2) Job analysis that includes Job description and Job specification of a chosen department or a position in the company. - 400 Words (+/- 10%)

Note: Job description must include the Task, Duties & Responsibilities.

Job Specification means the KSA (Knowledge, Skills & Ability) of the Job.

3) Job design of the chosen department or a position in the company based on design for efficiency, motivation, safety & health (ergonomics) and mental capacity. - 400 Words (+/- 10%)

Note: It must be related to the Job Description and with at least 2 Job Design Dimension (e.g. Mental/Health etc).

4) Recruitment strategies and its implementation for the chosen department or a position in the company. - 500 Words (+/- 10%)

Note: Must have at least 2 internal and external recruiting platforms.

Platform means Electronics Job Portal.

5) Selection strategies and its implementation for the chosen department or a position in the company. - 500 Words (+/- 10%)

Note: It must be related to the Job Position with at least two to three selection approaches.

6) Conclusion including how the company can benefit and add value based on the analyses and strategies presented (e.g. Orientation, Training, Development or Employee Engagement etc). - 100 Words (+/- 10%)
