PEER RESPONSE:

 Throughout this course and through my writing, I have become aware that I learned many skills, my confidence level grew, and I found out different aspects of writing in my career field. Through writing about myself in my narrative, I have learned that I can accomplish anything I put my mind to when it comes to working and school. Through time, I see the value of education and its effect on me being more knowledgeable with test-taking and studying. It’s been three years since I have had to write papers and use critical thinking for writing. Throughout the course, I have learned many writing techniques and strategies that will help me long after completing this course. My writing skills as of now show much improvement from when first starting school. When I started writing for this class, my confidence level was deficient until I got used to writing. Confidence is one of my strengths and values, but I built my confidence into my strength. I was discouraged at the beginning of class about my writing. I took the time on my off days from work to acquaint myself with writing essays and study essay structure. I wanted to build my confidence to write essays, emails, and letters without feeling discouraged about how my writing would come out. Although my confidence has improved since the beginning of the class, I still have challenges I encounter and skills to strengthen along the way. Writing about myself in relation to my career hasn’t changed my understanding of the choices of my career field. I feel that I have the same understanding of written communication in my career field because it was prior knowledge. The two skills I developed during this course are paragraph structure and understanding my assignment purpose. These skills will benefit my future career because by understanding my assignment purpose, I will be able to accomplish my task, and it can serve as a guide for my writing of the assignment.
