Part 1

What measures would you put into place in order to effectively counsel a family whose beliefs differ from your own?  For instance, you are working with a couple who has decided to file for divorce, but you do not believe in divorce.  They are coming to you as a counselor to seek your guidance on mediation issues like child visitation.  How would you avoid involving your opinion about divorce?

After reading the article on the ethical dilemmas posed by the use of social media, please state your position on recommendations being integrated into the code of ethics to ensure professional use of social media?  If you believe that recommendations should not be integrated into the code of ethics, because you do not support the use of social media with family counseling, please explain why.  Remember to cite the readings in your posts and include a reference list.
